SOP Football Competitions continue in style

DOHA, November 12, 2018-The football competitions for primary schools at the Schools Olympic Program (SOP) was held on Sunday.

18 matches were played at Aspire Academy where Newton School held Middle East School to a 1-1 draw and Step One International School edged past Royal Crown School.

Gulf School overpowered Oxford School 8-1 and Al Zaytoon International School trounced Cambridge School. Moreover, Al Noot Private School downed Zenet Academy 7-0.

At Al Wakrah Sports Club, American School defeated Bangladesh School 2-0 while Oscar Academy edged past Royal International School at Al Sailiyah Sports Club.

Al Manar International School downed Edison School 4-0 and held Ayla International School to a 2-2 draw.

Rabea Al Kaabi, Chairman of the SOP Organizing Committee lauded the wide participation of the schools in the football competitions for primary schools.

Al Kaabi thanked Aspire Academy and the sports clubs that hosted the matches and stressed that the Qatari institutions are keen on the success of the new edition of SOP.
