Atmosphere of great excitement at SOP volleyball and basketball competitions

The SOP competitions continue in its 12th edition in various sport events. Basketball and volleyball competitions for different levels showed a high attendance of spectators as well as SOP officials. It started with Primary school basketball competitions hosted by Al Gharafa Sport Club. Teams of Al Manar International and Al Faisal International schools qualified from the group qualification. Al Manar tops the group after defeating Al Faisal School (13:0) and Royal School (10:0). Al-Faisal International won with a score 6:4. In the Preparatory school basketball competitions the teams of the Lebanese and Oxford schools also advanced to the second round.

Playing against each other the Lebanese school won with a score 22:4 showing good technical skills and deserving to lead the group.

In another Primary school group, the Next Generation school led the group, while British International took the second place, both qualified for the second round. In the Secondary school volleyball competitions DPS Modern Indian School beat the Bhavan`s Public School Al Wakra 2:0 while Noor Al Khaleej International School scored a 2:0 victory over Noble school.
