SOP Athletics and Shooting competitions conclude

DOHA, March 17, 2019. The athletics and shooting competitions within the Schools Olympic Program (SOP) in its 12th edition were concluded on Saturday. Held at Tariq Bin Ziyad Secondary School, an award ceremony was attended by many SOP representatives and schools officials.

In the 60 metre sprint, Masoud Fathi Al Muraikhi from Saad Bin Abi Waqas School won the first place. Nabil Yousef from Al Muthanna Bin Haritha School won the second place and Muayad Adel Yousef from Al Quds Model School took the third place.

In the long jump event, Masoud Fathi won the first place from Saad bin Abi Waqas School, Abdul Aziz Al Qahtani from Hittin School, and Yusuf Ahmed from the DPS Indian School.

In the shot put event, Farhan Ahmad from Ebla School took the lead. Abu Bakr Mohammed from Joan bin Jassim School took the second place while Yusuf Ahmed from the DPS Indian school – the third.

In the 4 × 50 relay race, Al Muthanna Bin Haritha School got the first place and Abu Hanifa School – the second place.

In 60 metre sprint, at the same primary stage (born in 2007/2008) Abdul Samad Mohammed from Abdullah bin Rawahah School won the first place. Muhammad Ghanim Al-Kuwari from Simaisma School came second while Nasser Al Hasawi from Omar bin Al-Khattab School finished third.

In the 200 metre sprint event, the winners were respectively Saif Mohammed from the Cambridge School, Nidal Yahia from the MES Indian School, and Suhail Abdul Badi Al-Marri from Saad bin Muaz School.

In the long jump event, Mohammed Asad from the MES Indian School won the first place, and Ayesh Ateeq Al-Nuaimi from Saad bin Muaz School won the second place while Rakan Mubarak from Omar bin Al-Khattab School got the third place.

In the shot put event, Taha Yahia from Ahmed Mansour School topped the leaderboard, Andre from Alashbal School took the silver medal and while Abdul Rahman Al-Kuwari from Ahmed Mansour School got the bronze one.

In the 4×50 relay race, the MES Indian School won first place, followed by Dar Al-Salaam Indian School and Abdel Hamid Al-Dail.

In the 60 metre sprint at the preparatory stage Azzam Ahmed from Birla School won the first place, and Rihan Abdul Ghafoor from Al Khor International School came second while Haza Jadiah Rashid from Omar Bin Al-Khattab finished third.

In the 60 metre hurdles, Saeed Bader Al-Sahooti from Al-Razi School got a gold medal, and Ghanesh Abdullah from Birla School took a silver medal while Waseem Mohammed from the MES Indian School got a bronze one.

In the 200 metre sprint, the top three places went to Saeed Bader Al-Sahooti, Ghanesh Abdullah and Waseem Mohammed respectively.

In the long jump event, Shabul Nasma from the Doha Modern Indian School took the first place, Seyed Ahmed Mohammed from Abu Obeida got the second place while and Ekimini from the Cambridge school got the third place.

In the shot put event, Seyed Ahmed Mohammed from Abu Obaidah School won the first place, Mohammed Yusuf Sankis from Mohammed bin Jassim School took the second place meanwhile Abdul Aziz Al-Mughani from Simaisma School took the third place.

In the high jump event, the winners were Annan Irfan who took the first place, Khalifa Khalid Al-Nuaimi – who got the second; Khalid Salah Bader and Ahmed Ramadan shared the third place.

In the 4 × 50 relay race, the MES Indian School took the first place, Mohammed bin Jassim School was the second and Dar Al-Salaam was the third.

In 60 metre sprint at the secondary stage Musainad Munir from the MES Indian School finished first, Ahmed Maher from Musab Bin Omair School – was the second while Hassan Dafah from the Gulf English School finished third.

In the 60 metre hurdles, Mohammed Magdy from Ahmed bin Hanbal School won the first place, followed by Saif Saad from Nasser Al-Attiyah School came second, Ahmed Ratib from Musab Bin Omair School came third.

In the 200 meters sprint, Ahmed Essam from Nasser Al-Attiyah School won the first place, and Mesainad Munir from the MES Indian School finished second while Mohammed Wasil from Tariq Bin Ziyad School got the third place.

In the 800 metre sprint, Khalid Saif Al-Din from Musab bin Omair School won the first place, Mohammed Ridwan from Tariq Bin Ziyad School finished second, and Adel Al-Sayed from Omar bin Al-Khattab School – third.

In the long jump event, Akram Naseer from Simaisma School won the first place, Abdullah Mohammed from the MES Indian School came second, and Abdullah Diyaf from Musab Ben Omair School came third.

In the high jump event, Shadong Ume from the Gulf English School won the gold medal, the Alphin Jay from the MES Indian School got the silver medal and Mohammed Naji Al Mannai from the Newton International School – Lagoon got the bronze medal.

In the shot put event, the first three places went to Azharali Akbar from the MES Indian school, Hamza Arfa from the Musab bin Omair school and Chijindu Omah from the Gulf English School.

In the 4×100 relay event, the MES Indian School, Tariq Bin Ziyad school and Ahmad Bin Hanbal School won the first three places respectively.

In 10 metre Air Rifle for secondary schools, Abdulrahman Al Yafei claimed the first place ahead of Jassim Raed Yaqoub from Omer bin Al Khatab School took the second place while Abdulrahman Al-Kuwari from the Gulf English School finished third.

In 10 metre Air Rifle team event Musab Bin Omair School took the first place, Jassim Bin Hamad – the second while the Gulf English – the third.

In 10 metre Air Pistol individual event at the secondary stage Fahad Ayed Baksh from Qatar Secondary Technical School and Abdulla Khalid Al-Sulaiti from Qatar Secondary School took the first two places resprectively while Abdullah Mohammad from Simaisma School got the third place.

In 10 metre Air Pistol team event for secondary schools, Qatar Secondary School won a gold medal, Qatar Secondary Technical School got a silver medal and a bronze one went to Simaisma School.

In 10 metre Air Rifle event for preparatory schools, Saad Ahmed Al-Sulaiti from Al-Razi School took the first place, Ali Hadi Al-Buraidi from Mohammad Bin Jassim School took the second place while Mohammad Saleh Al-Kirbi from Simaisma School finished third.

In 10 metre Air Rifle team event Mohammed bin Jassim School took the first place, Omar Bin Al-Khattab School got the second place while the third place went to Qatar School for Sciences and Technologies.

In 10 metre Air Pistol event for preparatory schools. Ibrahim Saad Al-Mohannadi from Omar Bin Al-Khatab School topped the leaderboard while his schoolmate Mohammad Ahmed Al-Emadi took the second place and Rashid Salem Al-Nuaimi from Abu Obaida School got the third place.

In 10 metre Air Pistol team event, Omar Bin Al-Khattab School won first place, Mohammed Bin Jassim School took the second place, and Abu Obaida Preparatory School – the third.
