Schools Olympic Program 2018-2019 concludes

DOHA, April 19, 2019-The 12th edition of the Schools Olympic Program (SOP) was concluded at Aspire Academy on Thursday.

This edition featured 12 sports including Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, Tennis, Table Tennis, Fencing, Gymnastics, Athletics, Swimming, Chess and Taekwondo.

In the final match of Football competitions for boys secondary schools, Ibn Taymiya School defeated Palestinian School to claim the title.

Al Shorouq School claimed the title of boys model school after beating Khalifa Model School in the final match. Semaisma School finished third.

Rabea Al Kaabi, President of the Qatar School Sport Association thanked all the partners who have contributed to the success of the Schools Olympic Program in its 12th edition including the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Aspire Academy and the Qatar Olympic Committee.
